Wood Chipper PL-160 is a disc-type wood chipper designed for shredding wood waste and processing, capable of transforming branches, tree crowns, logging waste, and rails into wood chips. The output fraction ranges from 5 to 20 mm, and the size can be adjusted by regulating the blades of the cutting disc. The processed material is ideal for use as fuel for boilers with screw feeders, and from the technological wood chips obtained after additional processing, briquettes and fuel pellets are produced.

The wood chipper for chipping can be used by forestry enterprises, municipal services, farms, rural and city councils, etc.

The wood chipping machine PL-160 consists of a body, cutting device, disc, hydraulic system – a mechanism for feeding wood, and a sleeve for ejecting wood chips. The unit is attached to the rear three-point hitch of the tractor.

The drive of the cutting disc is activated by the power take-off shaft of the tractor, with a rotation frequency of up to 1000 rpm, through a cardan transmission. The diameter of the input wood should not exceed 160 mm. The size of the wood chip fraction at the output is from 5 to 20 mm, depending on the adjustment of the blades of the cutting disc, which can be easily done by opening the top cover.

The power of the wood chipper allows obtaining up to 9 cubic meters of wood chips per hour. A distinctive feature of the PL-160 is its mobility when used with a tractor, allowing for easy adjustment of the working area.
