The wood chipper PL-120 is a disc-type chipper designed for shredding wood waste and wood processing. It is capable of transforming branches, tree crowns, logging residues, and rails into wood chips. At the output, a fraction ranging from 5 to 15 mm is obtained, and its size can be adjusted by adjusting the knives of the cutting disc. The processed material is ideal as fuel for screw-feed boilers, and the technological wood chips obtained after additional processing are used for the production of pellets and fuel granules.

The wood chipping machine PL-120 consists of a body, cutting device, disc, hydraulic system - mechanism for feeding wood, and a hose for expelling wood chips.

The unit is attached to the rear three-point hitch of the tractor. The wood chipper for the tractor is ideal for those who require large processing volumes. The wood chipper can be used by forestry enterprises, municipal services, farms, rural and urban councils, etc.

Wood processing waste is fed into the receiving hopper, where toothed rollers are located. Rotating, they pull the wood into the working area with the cutting disc. The disc is equipped with knives. The rollers are driven by two hydraulic motors. The drive of the cutting disc is activated by the tractor power take-off shaft, with a rotation frequency of up to 1000 rpm, through a cardan transmission.

The power of the wood chipper allows obtaining up to 6 cubic meters of wood chips per hour. The input diameter of the wood should not exceed 120 mm. The output fraction thickness ranges from 5 to 15 mm, depending on the adjustment of the knives on the cutting disc, which can be easily done by opening the top cover.

For safe operation, the input hopper is equipped with a protective curtain to shield the operator. A characteristic feature of the PL-120 is its mobility when used with a tractor, allowing for easy adjustment of the working area.
