Where and how they worked
An initiative group from the company worked on Chornovola Street — on the slopes near the parking area, from the “Sribni Leleky” complex to Darwin Street. As part of the citywide campaign, organizers identified about 40 locations: riverbanks, parks, squares, the botanical garden, and sites in the surrounding villages. More than 1,500 people joined the cleanup overall.
Equipment and results
Local residents had previously cut down volunteer trees, and the Palche team completed the cleanup: they collected branches and brought a wood chipper PG-120BD. Thanks to the equipment, wood waste was quickly processed into 15–16 cm fractions, eliminating the need for manual chopping. The chipper, weighing about 300 kg, can handle wood up to 12 cm in diameter and runs on a gasoline engine, so it does not require external power sources — convenient for work in fields, forests, and along roadsides.
In roughly 4 hours of work, participants cleared about 120 meters of slopes, collected trash, tidied the area, and chipped about 20 m³ of wood. The resulting material is planned to be used as fuel, making the process both ecological and practical.
The company regularly supports similar initiatives across different regions of Ukraine. Palche emphasizes that cleanups not only restore territories but also unite teams, and therefore calls on businesses and residents to join environmental actions in the future.
The Palche team plans to continue participating in cleanups and invites the community to join upcoming events to help make cities cleaner and more comfortable.
